I would never live in a home without two things: a smoke alarm and carbon monoxide alarms. These two things are very important to me for one good reason: my son’s life. My son is my family, my love and my life and it’s imperative to me to protect his life. Carbon monoxide detectors can prevent carbon monoxide death by letting me know if there are dangerous levels of carbon monoxide in the area. I will do anything to protect my family. A carbon monoxide detector in my home is important to me. To me, prevention is just so important and I will do anything to prevent harm to my family.

For giggles and laughs, I decided to test the theory of fire retardant being used on a gas grill. My neighbor claimed that the flames would stay low as the fire retardant would stop them from reaching the actual grill and charring the food. It was an intriguing theory, but I was certain it wasn’t correct. So, I doused the grill in the fire resistant fire retardant and turned the gas on high igniting robust blue flames. My theory was that the flames would still reach the grill tray, but wouldn’t burn or heat them up as much as normal.Well, it turns out both of our theories were wrong. The fire retardant put off a terrible odor upon being consumed in the flames of my gas grill, and the grill bars themselves turned black with char, a case of burned on fire retardant spay.

A Panic Bolt (also known as a Panic Bar) is a fire safety device used on double doors. The bolt or bar is usually spring loaded and it set to release the doors when pressure is applied. They are sometimes called “Crash Bars” because of the idea that they will open with someone or something crashes into them. Numerous countries make it a law that they are installed on fire and emergency exits to aid in escape. Most of these door panic bolts are attached to one-way doors, since another device is needed on the opposite side to “crash” the door the other way.

All new buildings that are constructed with a steel frame are required to have all the steel components of that frame sprayed with a fire retardant spray. The fire resistant fire retardant spray will prevent the steel components from being heated during a fire and either expand or melt which could cause a catastrophic failure of the structure. This heating and melting of the steel super structure is what caused the world trade center in New York to fail and collapse. Firefighters also know that when entering older steel superstructure buildings not to trust the trusses in those buildings because of the lack of appropriate precautions taken during the construction phase.

Easy evacuation of buildings during fire is essential to saving lives. Exits should be easy to use. Door knobs can be tricky to people in a panicked state. They can also cause problems where crowds crush against an exit; where someone has burnt hands; or to someone who is carrying someone in both arms. Panic bars, are the solution. A panic bar works with the natural instinct to push against the obstruction to an exit. A person’s body weight against the panic bar releases the latch so the door can be pushed open.

Many people are unaware of the seriousness of carbon monoxide poisoning. Carbon monoxide has the potential of killing a person in their sleep, and it is difficult to even know that you are at risk. Carbon monoxide is not easily traceable; it is not something that you can smell in the air and know that there is too high of a concentration that has the potential of harming you. However, if you install carbon monoxide alarms, you will have an alarm in your home that will alert you if the concentration of carbon monoxide gets to harmful levels. It will help save your life from this silent killer.

Every person lives his life dependent of what he works. Here we have a man with life full with responsibilities. If you work on fire safety, first you have to know that you have a big risk on your life. For fire marshall signs are important to work and think fast, but also to be calm. You must put the life of the victims in front of your life in order to save the people and to make the material damage smaller. Also you need to be ready 24h and under ready is meant to be physically and mentally ready. This is one of the professions that couldn’t be done by everybody. You need a man who has special feelings, mental and physical strength.

The dorgard as suggested, I think is not safe for the building or house. First of all the building is in use of a business or dwelling. How a chubb dorgard helps the workers or the dwellers escaping from fire. Like wind or rain, is not the effect of fire on the building. The first question is what is the material the door is made? Then what are the components the device is made? Fire can destruct anything except materials that is used to make the “space shuttle”. But it will be costly and can’t be afford to all. Another thing is a building has so many doors. Is it possible to fit the dorgard to all the doors? Consider all the things works well then how the people escape from their work place or home. When all the doors are closed by the dorgard the people will be locked inside and were just like put in a frying pan. A dorgard can close the doors, what about the question of windows and ventilators, can’t fire enter through these opening. Therefore I think the dorgard will be a trap to the people inside the building.
