Did you know that many people die in fire-related accidents each year to be statistically exact 5000 people die because of fire accidents. One reasonable cause is that a lot of us aren’t teaching fire protection. Like don’t leave a candle near a curtain or forgetting the kitchen LPG at night. This example may seem dull or ridiculous to you but i tell you that its better to know this now than to have a big 1st to 3rd degree burn on your skin later. Because one of the fire protection rule is to prevent a fire from happening in the first place like leaving a flammable content on a high place where kids can’t play with it. Make sure that you have an emergency medicine kit and a phone number of fire station nearby. But if an accident did happen you have got to be prepared in the following precautions especially if you don’t have a emergency sprinkler at the house or a fire extinguisher. First is to account all of the person in the house and make sure to evacuate the area depending on the gravity of the fire and make sure to take them to the nearest hospital. And then make sure to call the fire ambulance to lessen the damage inflicted. One of the things to avoid while having a fire accident is grabbing all the highly expensive gadgets or furniture because trust me you can buy them later but you wont be able to buy them anymore if you already lose your life. Remember all of these tips i told and always use them so that firemen can sleep all night.

Fires in residential structures kill an average of almost 4000 kids a year, which makes teaching children fire safety very important. When a fire breaks out people have just minutes to get out of a structure safely. Children should be taught how and what to do in a fire, along with where to go. Many kids hide during a fire, making it hard for rescue personnel to find them. They need to be taught not to do this. Fires are often started by children playing with matches or other combustibles. Simply teaching kids not do these sort of things can reduce the amount of fires that occur, as well as save lives and reduce the number of serious burn cases a year.

I do not get a lot of free time, but when I do, I am a creative person. Most people enjoy working out, reading, or hanging out with friends for fun, but I am a little different. I like being alone and escaping from my busy lifestyle around people. I enjoy sitting down and pulling out all of my scrapbooking paper and stamps and continuing my childhood memories scrapbook or making a card for a good friend. I get carried away doing this and hours will pass before I realize I need to get back to doing things that should be done. I find coming up with unique designs and greetings is relaxing, but entertaining at the same time because you never know whose day you can make with a simple greeting card.

Fast Food, Yuck

Dinners for me are hard. I would love to sit down with my family and have a nice home cooked meal. However, recently being on vacation and being on the go and traveling during the evening hours, dinners have had to be quick and easy. Driving through various fast food joints has been my way of getting dinner recently. I have had McDonalds, Lion’s Choice, and Burger King for dinner at least four out of the seven days this week. I am not a fan of fast food and I have been trying to choose the healthier options offered on the menus, but I still do not enjoy the food.

I come from a household where I understand what a recession is and how to deal with it because money is tight. Thankfully, neither of my parents have lost their jobs and I have not lost mine either. I have had my hours cut back immensely at work, but I am still making enough money to support myself. However, working in retail during the recession makes me ask every day, “Why are people still spending oodles of money?” Working in an upscale boutique, there are not many cash savvy options offered to our customers. Our clothing is pricey and buying two pieces will set you up to spend over $100. I see many women come into the store and hear them talking about how their husbands hours have been cut or how he has taken a pay cut because of the recession and they do not work, but they are still spending hundreds of dollars for clothes, they say they don’t even need, but they can’t pass up buying it because it is so nice.

Meeting interesting people

I have lived in the same apartment for over twenty years. I would not move if you paid me. I reckon I have the best views in the city. I live in a two bedroom apartment and often rent my spare bedroom to a backpacker. I have made a lot of good friends this way and often invited to stay with them in their country. I try and pack away my best fire escape ladder as I do not want them taken aback by it. One particular person was a little confused as to why I wanted my owner ladder. At times I get worried if a fire breaks out I wont be able to escape in time.

This morning I began my day with a great breakfast. I made myself some scrambled eggs and sat down to eat them while watching the Today Show. After relaxing a little I decided I should start my day and began cleaning my room. While cleaning I began thinking about my future career in Interior Design and what opportunities I might have with a career in that field. Of course, I hope to make lots of money, but I could not find many options when surfing the web. I am an artsy person and found other ways I could apply my design degree while surfing the internet for ideas. I am interested in scrapbooking and stamping and am going to start documenting my work today and try and start my own scrapbooking and stamping business eventually.

My Wedding Last January

Would any woman ever stop talking about her wedding day? Well, neither have I! I got married in January, 2010 to a wonderful man. We had a ‘small’ and simple wedding with just family and friends. I did regret inviting those friends though, because they ragged us so bad during the reception! Well, jokes aside, we had an awesome time. I always thought a wedding was a sober affair, but I think we proved that wrong! We had so much of fun laughing, dancing and just enjoying with the people who matter the most. We came back to ‘the real life’ and its routine soon after the wedding, but that day still gives me so much of joy, just to think about it.

The Place Where I Live

I board with a family in Maple Bluff. It is a quiet neighbourhood and I have lived here for two years now. It is not usual for everyone in the neighbourhood to know each other so well, but where I live, everyone is friends. Come summer or winter, some of us all take trips out together, visit the lake, go out on picnics and just have fun together. Life is pretty slow here, not like in the big cities I have heard about. I love this place for the people and for nature that is so untouched here. The trees, the flowers, the clear skies, all these have a place in my heart.

Great gifts for my partner’s birthday

It was my partner’s 50th birthday party. I wanted to buy him something special to mark the occassion. Many of his former work colleagues were attending and they had all chipped in to buy him a gift. Previously my partner was a fire fighter however he sustained an injury and had to give up work. Last year they gave him a number of fire warden jackets before he left work. I spent hours shopping for the ideal gift and ended up buying him a selection of fine wine which I know he absolutely adores. His friends from work gave him a weekend getaway accommodation voucher which I thought was a lovely idea.
