I read the novel the other day because a friend of mine in Delhi called me to buy a copy of the novel for his cousin who was at college; it was a prescribed text for them at college. I was really grateful to my friend for his asking me to get a copy for his cousin. I got a chance to read the novel too. I was teased for my reading the novel at this time of my age. My son asked me why I had taken so long to read it. But then he didn’t know I never got a chance to go to college like him since my father was too poor to send me to college. I graduated as a private student without doing much reading like every other student who went to college as a regular student. After all I was luckier that Heath cliff
